Design with the living world, not against it.

Food forests, medicine gardens, and permaculture landscapes shaped by the land, the people using it, and the systems already at work.

A garden at sunset with various plants, flowers, and trees, and a sketchbook with a garden design drawing on a wooden bench.

I don’t start with a plant list. I start by paying attention.

How does the land move? Where does water go? What does the light do? What's already thriving? How do you use the space? What does the land seem to be telling us?

Good design doesn't fight the place. It listens to it.

What we can grow from here.

Food Forest Design

Layered, productive landscapes that bring food production into relationship with trees, shrubs, herbs, soil, water, and the people who live with them.

Medicine Garden Design

Gardens designed around medicinal and useful plants, with attention to place, season, beauty, access, and relationship.

Permaculture Landscape Design

Landscape systems designed to work with natural patterns, resources, and human needs rather than against them.

Garden design and plant education, not medical care.

Already have a landscape? Start there.

You don't always need to start over. I can help you understand what's already happening on your land, identify opportunities, and decide what to change, keep, remove, or grow next.

How design works.

Your goals and your land turned into a clear concept: what goes where and how the pieces work together. Includes up to two site visits and three Zoom calls.

Complete Permaculture Evaluation

Price: Starting at $3000

The complete written permaculture design for your site. A full evaluation of your land (climate, sun, water, soil, and what’s already growing), what you want from it, and a phased plan for bringing it to life, in Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) report format. Includes up to two site visits and three Zoom calls.

Garden Lessons

Hands-on lessons on your own land. Learn to prune, harvest, put a garden to bed, and care for what you’ve planted, at your own pace. I teach and guide. The work stays yours. By appointment.

A plan is only the beginning.

The goal isn't just a design. It's that you understand what's growing, notice how it changes through the seasons, and feel confident caring for it as it develops. Along the way, I teach you to use the food and medicinal plants you're growing and to read the land, so you become a steward of the place, not just the owner of a plan.

What I do. And what I don't.

I design, advise, consult, and teach. I don't currently provide installation, construction, planting crews, or ongoing maintenance. You can carry out a design yourself or work with your own contractors or landscape professionals.

Let's look at your land.

Tell me about the place you're working with.
