Learn to work with plants.

Herbalism begins with paying attention: to plants, to place, to season, and to your own experience.

Plants aren’t prescriptions. They’re relationships.

I'm interested in the practical, everyday side of herbalism: learning your plants, understanding what you're working with, making things yourself, and building a relationship with the living world.

Sometimes that means getting your hands dirty. Sometimes it means sitting at a kitchen table talking about a plant you've been wondering about for years.

Start with a plant. See where it leads.

Notice how it grows. Learn where it comes from. Pay attention to what it needs. Make something with it. The more closely you look, the more there is to learn.

Herbal education and consultation are offered for learning and personal exploration. They are not a

substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or individualized medical advice.
