What I do, and what I don’t.
The Basics
I offer coaching, yoga, herbal education and consultations, permaculture design, and garden lessons. These are educational and supportive practices. They aren’t therapy, medical care, or treatment, and they don’t replace them.
Coaching
Coaching is a partnership. I listen, ask questions, notice patterns, and offer practices and perspectives. You make the decisions about your life.
Coaching is not therapy, counseling, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, detox, addiction treatment, or crisis care, and it doesn’t replace your doctor, therapist, program, or sponsor. It can work alongside them.
Recovery coaching is for people who are already sober and working the steps with a sponsor. It isn’t sponsorship, and it isn’t a substitute for your program.
I don’t guarantee results. Your own effort and circumstances shape what happens.
Yoga
Kundalini yoga involves movement, breath, meditation, and mantra. Please listen to your body, take what serves you, and skip what doesn’t. If you have an injury, are pregnant, or have a health concern, talk with your healthcare provider before you start. Yoga here is not physical therapy or medical care.
Herbal education and consultations
Herbal education and consultations are educational support. I share what I know about plants and how people traditionally use them. I don’t diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, and I don’t prescribe. Herbs can interact with medications and may not be right for everyone, including people who are pregnant, nursing, or managing a health concern. Please talk with your doctor before using herbs, and don’t stop or change anything your doctor has prescribed. These services don’t replace medical care.
Design and garden lessons
I design, advise, consult, and teach. I don’t provide installation, construction, planting crews, or ongoing maintenance. A design is a set of recommendations, and results depend on site conditions, weather, and how it’s carried out. You and any contractor you hire are responsible for permits, local codes, utility locations (please call 811 before digging), and the work itself. Garden lessons are hands-on teaching on your land. I guide, and the work stays yours.
When something is outside my scope
If something comes up that needs a different kind of support, I’ll tell you honestly and help you find the right person or program.
If you’re in crisis
I’m not a crisis service. In the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. Outside the U.S., please call your local emergency number.
